“I would just like to say how great the wellness initiative is at County Hall. Having been to the roadshow back in October, where Casey was on hand to answer all my questions and gave me some great encouragement to join the leisure centre (I took up on their offer to try 3 months at a reduced rate to see how I would get on.) Casey also gave me some great advice, like do something you enjoy, and don’t do too much to start, and it will become a habit, which is what I have done now with my swimming, it’s on my weekly agenda on a Monday and a Friday evening. She also booked me in for my gym induction which I did do (apprehensively) but I shouldn’t have worried as the lady who showed me around the gym equipment was lovely, thing is I haven’t ventured back again, as the whole gym idea is over whelming. However that is about to change after the lovely meeting I had with Trish today. She gave some great advice, just go in there and concentrate on one piece of equipment, which Is what I will be doing Friday before my swimming, once I book it on my app (a great app, even for a techno phobe like me!!) Also today, I ventured back on the Boditrax machine, and found that my new swimming  habit ( which I now miss and feel guilty to myself if I don’t go!!) has made a difference to my overall health. Trish today was very thorough in going through my results and encouraging. Also explaining that there are always people available to help you in the leisure centre. So basically what I would like to say is that if you are apprehensive and want some genuine good, friendly advice go along to one of the wellness days that the leisure centre put on, regardless of your age or state of health they are there to help you and guide you on your way to becoming a healthy version of yourself. It’s not just good for your physical health but mental health too. Thank you Trish and Casey you have kick started me to enjoy exercise. If I can do it anyone can.”

How do I get involved?
