Support worker Kay

Kay

My name is Kay and I work for day services as a support worker for vulnerable adults. I enjoy seeing the joy on their faces and knowing that they enjoy the sessions. It is nice to get them out and get them doing physical exercise. I feel proud every week to be honest, all the customers take part and they do really well, it is great to keep them active with their friends. I think just getting physical exercise is really good for them and myself, It gives them something to look forward to as well. We attend the Zumba classes and they are really fun.

Terrene from Value Independance

Terrene

My name is Terrene, and I work for Value Independence in Milford Haven. I enjoy seeing the guys I support enjoying themselves, and seeing them have having a good laugh, through the different classes they attend, from bocca and the easy line gym on a Wednesday to movers and shakers on the Friday. I feel proud that our clients try so hard to achieve their goals. Our staff team join in and it encourages our clients to be confident and enjoy themselves.

Wayne from Value Independance

Wayne

My name is Wayne, and I work for Value independence CIC. It's great to see our guys trying new activities, attending weekly groups, and watching how they improve, develop skills, and enjoy the social aspect of shared groups. Our guys always amaze me with how they push themselves to achieve incredible things. It always makes me happy to see them enjoying the activities they attend, interacting with others, and forming strong social connections. It's good for their health and wellbeing. Participating in group activities teaches valuable life skills, such as accepting both losing and winning, working as part of a team as well as independently, taking charge of their own abilities, and learning how to achieve more.

Paul from Priory Project Ltd

Paul

I work for Priory project Ltd. I love seeing how happy they are and that they are getting fit without even knowing. I feel proud of how they interact with Marcela and Emma and that they have become part of one big community. One of our residents asks for dance every Wednesday and they all really look forward to it, I enjoy joining in with them and doing something I wouldn’t normally do like a dance class.
